NPS High School Students Named Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Award Winners

Art students from Norwalk Public Schools were recognized by the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards for their work in photography, drawing and illustration, sculpture and painting.

Winners who received either an Honorable Mention, Silver Key, or Gold Key Award were included in the CT Regional Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition, which took place at the Hartford Art School Silpe Art Gallery at the University of Hartford. A virtual award ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 2 to 3pm.

Following the close of the Connecticut Regional exhibit, select Gold Key award winners from each national region will have their art works reviewed by an esteemed panel of judges. This National Jury will select "Gold Medal" national winners’ artwork to be exhibited virtually in New York City during the summer.

The 32nd annual Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards is the largest juried student art exhibition in the state. As an affiliate of the National Scholastic Art Awards and The Alliance For Young Artists and Writers, the Connecticut region is proud to continue its annual tradition established in 1927, of honoring the creative efforts of students grades 7-12, in public, private and parochial schools. Scholastic Art Awards is now the largest and most senior program of its type in the country.
