The Technology Department is responsible for daily operations of the NPS Wide Area Network (WAN), hardware and software support, technical training, and web services.  We are committed to providing the students, teachers, staff, and administration with outstanding support to improve education through technology.

The goal of the Technology Department in the Norwalk Public Schools is to enrich the lives of students by empowering teachers to use classroom technologies to enhance instruction and improve achievement. As a matter of necessity, each student in Norwalk must be prepared to meet the technological challenges of our contemporary society. In order to ensure that we provide the best possible education for our students, we must seamlessly infuse technology at all grade levels. We must also ensure that our graduating seniors have the skills necessary to be successful in today's technology-driven, global workforce.

To this end, we are working diligently to implement professional development for staff, ensure that students receive both direct and indirect instruction in the use of computer technology, and assess student technology proficiency.
