A Message to Parents and Guardians

The Specialized Learning and Student Services Department of the Norwalk Public Schools recognizes that parents/guardians are integral participants in the development of their child's educational programming. It is important that the schools and parents work together in order for all of our students to benefit from their school experience.

The referral of your child to determine the need for Special Education instruction and related services may be a new experience that poses many questions for you. We encourage you to call any member of our department who will be ready to answer questions, provide information and listen to your concerns.

This website is designed to provide you with current information on a variety of topics that may be of interest and guidance to you. We have made a commitment to enhance our website  so please check back regularly. In addition, we would value feedback from you. We hope you find it helpful as we continue to work as partners in order to provide a positive and successful school experience for your child.
