Human Resources

The mission of Norwalk Public Schools is to create a student-focused culture that supports, encourages and challenges our students to believe in their potential and to persevere as they work toward attaining ambitious goals.  Nearly 1,200 certified staff members, work closely with 11,700 students in grades pre-K through 12, who attend our pre-school, our 12 elementary schools, our 4 middle schools, our 2 specialty high schools and our 2 comprehensive high schools.

Our community is richly diverse in many ways and we embrace the challenge to be a highly effective school system for all of our students, whom we celebrate for their racial, ethnic, economic, linguistic and academic diversity.  As a result, when our students leave Norwalk Public Schools, they have already established the academic and cultural foundation they will need for future success in the global society.

It is the mission of the Human Resources team to serve the district and the community by establishing, developing, recognizing and maintaining a quality workforce for the education of students.
