Three Norwalk Teachers Awarded Fund for Teachers Fellowships

Congratulations to teachers Christina Figueroa, Elizabeth Griffin and Lisa Strom, Norwalk’s newest cohort of Fund for Teachers (FFT) fellows!  FFT fellows are preK-12 teachers who designed personal learning opportunities that stretch their students and strengthen school communities.

Fund for Teachers is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to investing in the professional development of pre-K to 12th-grade educators across the country. Now in its 20th year, FFT has provided $33.5 million in grants to more than 9,000 public, private, and charter school teachers for self-designed summer fellowships and experiential learning opportunities.

Since 2015, more than 60 Norwalk teachers have been awarded FFT fellowships to pursue their own professional learning opportunities. Below is more information about the projects that will be funded through this year’s award.
